Andrea MacQueen began riding at the age of five at a farm in New Jersey. She got her first horse when she was fourteen, and a second at seventeen. She attended many East Coast shows, primarily competing in the hunters with her first horse and then moved up to the jumpers and equitation. Andrea attended Virginia Intermont College where she was an active member of the school’s ten time National Champion Intercollegiate Horse Show Association team, competing at IHSA Nationals in 2009, as well as being a member of the Intercollegiate Dressage Association team. Andrea has also successfully competed in the jumpers. She believes that knowledge gained from each discipline and applied to each rider’s own style to build him or her into a better rider.

Katherine Giganti started riding when she was about 8 years old, she has been working with horses for about 16 years. She got her first pony when she was 8 years old. He was a grey Arab-X named Fiddlesticks. She showed horses in the Westmoreland County PA (outside of Pittsburgh PA) 4-H for about 10 yrs, and was a Pony Club member for about 3 years. She did a little bit of very lower level eventing in Pony Club, but her favorite discipline has always been Hunters.  She got her second horse, Charlie, when she was 14. He was a 2 year old solid Paint, and a very rewarding project for her. Her newest horse is Bart which is a a yearling Appendix QH that she hopes to show in the AQHA circuit.

She is certified through the ARIA in Level I Hunt Seat & Stable Mgmt, certified equine appraiser through the ASEA, and tries to approach everything using natural horsemanship.  She likes to use a scientific and psychological approach to teaching and wants to make sure every student knows WHY they are being told to do something.  She also specializes in breaking and training young/problem horses.

Bet Poarch has 40 plus years of experience riding, training, and teaching all levels. Her students have competed successfully in the hunter and hunter equitation divisions at local, as well as major shows on the east coast. Many have gone on to become professionals in the horse industry. Her motto is that “to become a good/great rider, you must absolutely know the basics”.  Phone: (804)732-4393

Debbie Rodriguez: Debbie graduated from Lake Erie College with a dual major in Equestrian Studies and Business Administration.  After college she worked in the management of several facilities, among them the Bowie Horse Center, the Prince Georges Equestrian Center, and Drummonds Stables.  She holds USDF Bronze and Silver medals, and is a USEF ‘R’ dressage judge, a USEF ‘r’ Dressage Technical Delegate, a USEF ‘r’ eventing judge and a USEF ‘r’ eventing Technical Delegate.  Since 1989 she has been a freelance instructor and trainer in the Williamsburg, VA area.   In addition to riding, teaching, and judging Debbie is the show manager of Dressage at Lexington, a favorite USEF/USDF dressage show at the Virginia Horse Center.  Debbie teaches dressage to riders with their own horses.

Breanna Rose has loved horses as long as she can remember. At a very young age she begged her parents for a pony, and hoping that she was just going through a "phase", they agreed for her to start taking riding lessons. She has now been riding for 16 years and owns three horses. She has big dreams of competing in upper level eventing and values all she has learned from different trainers over the years. She thoroughly enjoys working with all ages and levels of students. The excitement of the beginner rider as they learn the basics of communicating with a horse in the saddle and on the ground, the intermediate rider as they discover what styles of riding suite them best, whether it be dressage, hunt seat, jumping, eventing, or just flat work/trail riding; and the challenge of working with an advanced rider, as they learn more advanced techniques and perfect their riding and even learn how to train horses themselves. She understands that every horseman has different dreams and goals, and hopes to assist her students in reaching those. "A love of horses is something you just can't ignore. When you'd rather clean stalls than your own house, when you'd rather smell like horse sweat than perfume, when you wish you could ride your horse to the grocery store instead of drive, and when you dream of flying over fences and winning gold medals, yep, you're a horse person!" Breanna's full time job consists of being a wife and a proud mother of her baby girl Lydia, born December 26th.
